Film Screening: Historic Passenger Trains
Don’t miss the opportunity to view the rides on some of the first trains in America. This compilation is complete with every historical passenger train film available. Topics include: early American passenger trains, early locomotives & railway cars, and an overall history of US railroads. Viewing is free with regular Museum admission.

Film Screening: A Century of Quilts: America in Cloth
This documentary celebrates the art of quilting by featuring selections from the best 100 American quilts of the 20th century, the stories behind their creation and the quilters as they work. Viewing is free with regular Museum admission.

Film & Lecture with Susan Pavel
The 20 minute film will highlight the weaving process, from gathering plant material to weaving. The lecture will include the historical significance, revitalization efforts, and possible futures of Coast Salish Weaving. Free with regular Museum admission.

Class: Quilt Restoration and Preservation.
Celebrate our exhibit Crazy Quilts with this tutorial on quilt care. The class includes a behind-the-scenes tour of the Museum’s quilt collection and storage techniques. Free with regular Museum admission.

Workshop - Yarn Dyeing with Native Plants
Participants will collect Native plants of our Northwest Coast region, then process the plants into dye, which will be used to dye wool. Class Fee: $155.

Workshop - Coast Salish Weaving
Participants will use plant dyed yarns to weave on a Coast Salish table top loom. Class Fee: $175 for both days. * A generous grant from the Allied Arts Foundation was recieved to offset the cost of registration and materials for this class
