Fall Farm Tour Guide
Dates: Fall term (September 25 to December 14, 2012)
Time: Tuesdays and Thursday from 9:00am to noon, approximately 70 hours.
Job description: Trained tour guide that will work with school groups on Farm Fieldtrips at the Mary Olson Farm, can effectively communicate tour scripts and learning objectives, has excellent communication skills, understands basic museum/informal learning and works well with children from diverse communities. A small performance based honorarium is available.
Qualifications: A qualified applicant will have previous experience in education or related fields of study, meet the time requirements, be over the age of 18 and can submit to a city of Auburn background check. Must have a reliable mode of transportation to and from the site. The applicant must be equipped to work outdoors, in inclement weather and be able to lift 40 lbs. First right of refusal will be given to those
currently enrolled in an education related field of study.
