AUBURN, Wash. The continued down economy and popularity of the current exhibit "Suffer for Beauty: A Revealing Look at Women's History Through Undergarments" has prompted the White River Valley Museum board of directors to offer free admission on Sunday, Oct. 18 and Sunday, Oct. 25. "Suffer for Beauty" runs through Nov. 8.
A free Sunday will also be offered on Nov. 22 in celebration of " Small Works, Big Presents: The Gift of Art" exhibit and sale that opens Nov. 18 and runs through Dec. 20. The White River Valley Museum and Auburn Arts Commission recently announced a call to artists for "Small Works, Big Presents." Information and full submission guidelines are available at www.auburnwa.gov/arts.
White River Valley Museum will continue free Sundays in 2010. The fourth Sunday each month will be free.
The free Sundays are in addition to White River Valley Museum's weekly free Wednesdays. The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. Regular admission is $2 adults, $1 seniors and children.
