VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT WHITE RIVER VALLEY MUSEUM, MARY OLSON FARM

Auburn, Wash. – The White River Valley Museum and Mary Olson Farm announce a call for volunteers to help with exhibits, tours, events and daily operations.

Volunteers are needed in many different areas including cleaning and cataloging artifacts and leading tours for area schools and drop-in visitors. Docents are needed to help greet museum visitors and work in the gift shop.

Docent positions require a minimum 3-hour afternoon shift per month, as well as attending quarterly lectures and annual training. Volunteer tour guides for school groups must be available during the busiest time of April and May.

Training is provided for all volunteer positions. An application process that includes a background check is required to volunteer.

White River Valley Museum and Mary Olson Farm exhibits and events would not be possible without the dedication of nearly 80 volunteers. Call Janet Wells at 253-804-5010 to learn more about the volunteer opportunities at the White River Valley Museum and Mary Olson Farm.
