Art historian Barbara Johns will discuss her book in progress about Kenjiro Nomura, a leader among Seattle’s Issei artists, whose paintings often represented Washington State nationally until his incarceration during World War II. Johns has been engaged in recent years in recovering the Issei artists’ stories and will describe some of her research and discoveries. Free, no registration required.
