Make an Appointment

The museum's archives and object collections are available for study for free by appointment. Collections appointments are available Monday – Friday, 9:30am to 4:30pm. Appointments require a minimum of two weeks advance scheduling.

 Research Services

Museum research staff are available to assist with research projects on an hourly basis. Research services are $25 per hour.

image rights + reproductions

 
 

All images and multimedia files in our collections catalog are available for use in Fair Use projects without additional permissions. Fair Use includes research, personal scholarship, student projects, teaching, and personal display.

To purchase a license to use images in WRVM’s collection, fill out a form below based on how you plan to use the image. Fees may apply, and requests may be denied if they do not fall within WRVM licensing guidelines. Learn more about copyrights and license types used by the White River Valley Museum.

Non-Commercial Use includes but is not limited to exhibition in educational institutions with no ticket or entry fees, publication in thesis and dissertation papers, and educational publications (print or online) that are distributed for free and without paywalls.

Commercial Use/Public Display includes but is not limited to print or electronic publishing, video production, exhibits, interpretive signage, interior design, commercial reports, advertising, and being used to train, refine, or develop generative AI technologies to generate text, images, or data. If people need to pay money to access it, you are being paid for providing it, or it is being used to encourage people to pay money for a product or experience, it falls under commercial use.

The White River Valley Museum Collection reflects the history of the people who have inhabited the White River Valley region of Washington State from the time of Native American settlement to the present, as well as items of state, national, and international history relevant to the history of the White River Valley region.
