One of many Progressive fights of special interest to suffragists and working women was the campaign for equal pay for women. “Equal Pay for Equal Work” was the slogan adopted by supporters, and it showed up on everything from postcards to campaign ads. Equal pay legislation didn’t pass nationally until 1963.
